VENUS FLYTRAP
It was an autumn day when
She walked into our town
She said she needed a man
That could show her around
I’d lived here all my life and
She was so very lovely
I volunteered and that was
Start of the ending of me
We walked into the woods
Seeking a certain flower
Whose fragrance would compel
Such as it could devour
Her hair, it smelled so sweet
Skin soft, my hand upon her
Perfume of pure deceit, but
I did not think to wonder
And now I roam these hills (alone)
And now I roam these hills (alone)
And now I roam these hills
Looking for the one who left me
Deep in the woods she drew me
And cast her clothes asunder
From that point I was truly
Caught in her web of wonder
She wrapped her legs around me
Like a black widow spider
Then everything went dark and
I swear, I think I died there
And now I roam these hills (alone)
And now I roam these hills (alone)
And now I roam these hills
Looking for the one who
Was it you
Who left me here to die?
I can’t see too well, now I
Will take you down with me.
And now I roam these hills (alone)
And now I roam these hills (alone)
And now I roam these hills
Looking for the one who left me
And now I roam these hills (alone)
And now I roam these hills (alone)
And now I roam these hills
Looking for the one who left me here to die.
